The Skeleton exemplar teaches users the different parts of the skeleton.
Users can used the menu on the righ to select the part of the skeleton they wish to see. An explanation of that part and a link to a resource are displayed, and the camera pans around in 3d to the part of the skeleton selected.
This provides the user with a much better picture of where all these bone are in the body. It is very difficult to get a sense of where the bones are placed purely from a 2d picture.
Not every single bone is shown, however this is just to preserve space, and all bones are accounted for (for example all of the T3 vertebrae are counted as one link).
This is an example of a 2d-3d hyrbid, using the power of the DXStudio plugin for the 3d, and Ajax for the 2d.
